As you may already know the Canadian Government has launched a new immigration system that would offer express entry to qualified immigrants for filling open jobs.
Named Express Entry – formerly referred to as Expression of Interest – this program would provide swifter entry into Canada, wherein the government and employers would select immigrants based on the skills and attributes that Canada needs. Canada’s new immigration system would come into force from January 01, 2015. Under this system, prospective immigrants would apply to express their interest in coming to Canada by answering a series of questions about their professional skills, their education, languages spoken etc.
The system would then match the skills of the prospective immigrants with the labor requirements identified by the provinces, the territories and employers. On finding a suitable match, the immigration authorities would offer Express Entry to a prospective immigrant who has applied via the:
• Federal Skilled Workers Program
• Federal Skilled Trades Program
• Canadian Experience Class Program or,
• Business Class Program
Under this new system, most complete applications will be processed in six months or less.
Most importantly this system will be using a new raking process and we want to draw your attention to it as gaming certification can greatly enhance candidate’s prospects for success in the program.
The CRS is the new system that will be use to assess and score Express Entry candidates. It has been created based on extensive research on the best predictors of economic success for newcomers to Canada.
The CRS will include factors such as:
Skills;
Work experience;
Language ability;
Education; and
Other factors that we know help immigrants prosper once in Canada.
Using the information provided in the candidate’s profile, the CRS will set the candidate’s score and rank within the Express Entry pool at any given time. Note that a candidate’s rank will change regularly, while their score will only change when they update their profile information.
Candidates with the highest scores in the pool will be issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA). Candidates will be awarded points for:
a job offer;
a provincial/territorial nomination; and
skills and experience factors that contribute to success in Canada.
