Minimum CRS drops to 442 in second Express Entry draw in 11 days

The Government of Canada has issued invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence to 3,750 Express Entry candidates in a new draw held on June 25, 2018. The cut-off Comprehensive Ranking System score was 442.     Today’s all-programs draw is the second Express Entry invitation round in 11 days and is the second consecutive draw in which 3,750 candidates were issued Invitations to Apply, or ITAs, the record high for 2018.

Two New Streams Lanched In Alberta Immigration Overhaul

The Immigrant Nominee Program of Alberta now has a simplified structure and it has added two new streams- The Alberta Opportunity Stream as well as the Alberta Express Entry Stream. These streams are active since June 14th, 2018. They are the replacement of Employer-Driven Stream and Strategic Recruitment Stream. Saskatchewan Express Entry stream in the International Skilled Worker category received 400 applications against its 2018 goal of 2,600. It closed again within few hours.   The category mainly aimed at skilled workers who want to work and live in Saskatchewan province, in Canada Express Entry Pool having a profile and meet specific criteria. The twelfth Express Entry draw seeking permanent residency candidates in 2018 was held on June 13, 2018. 3,750 candidates will receive an I.T.A., and this makes the present Canada Express Entry draw the largest in this year. The C.R.S. cut-off threshold for was 451 points.   Like the recent draws, there was a tie-break mechanism in it.
